Dongle Usage Guide

Introduction

ZyXEL modem WAH1604 model, which supports RighTel 3G and 4G mobile network will allow users to access high-speed connectivity via RighTel SIM Cards.

First, remove the SIM Card compartment cover, and then insert the SIM Card in the specified slot as shown below. Close the SIM Card compartment cover then connect the modem to the computer and wait until the orange LED lights on the modem is on.
After connecting the modem to computer, Dongle driver should be installed on operating system (OS). To do so, when the modem is connected and detected by OS, the device driver appears on “my computer” page, which you can install the modem by clicking on it and continuing installation process to the end.
After completing of installation, you will connect to RighTel high-speed Internet by clicking on ZyXEL LTE Modem icon created on desktop and “Connect” button via the opened window (shown below).

Software settings

After connecting to Internet, the following window will be displayed which some of the desired changes can be done via this window.

PIN settings

If SIM PIN is disabled, it can enable after entering the modem user panel from the below menu:

By clicking on “Enable PIN”, below window will show:

To disable, enable or change SIM Card PIN code, follow below methods:

• By inserting SIM Card into other devices such as mobile phone and tablet
• Via below path:
  Tools –> PIN Management –> Disable / Modify PIN

If SIM Card PIN enabled, as soon as the modem connected again to your device, user will be required to enter PIN code according to below window.

APN Settings

To use RighTel high-speed Internet you should set the APN. These configurations have been set on your device by default.
In case your modem is not set, you can access APN settings you can track bellow path:
Tools –> Connection Profile –> in the shown window “Profile management”
In this window, you can set your desired setting via “New”, then save them. Its configuration is as follows.
Profile name: RighTel
APN name: RighTel
After setting APN, you can use RighTel high-speed Internet. It should note that applying these settings is required only once and then connecting the modem to any other device will not need to reset the APN.

Roaming Settings

The modem can be used in roaming mode. Settings of the modem in default state is on Auto mode, so roaming select automatically. If the modem is used in roaming mode, in the main page of user panel “RighTel Roaming” is displayed.

Under normal conditions when the modem is in roaming mode, access to Internet is also available. If you do not want to use RighTel Internet in roaming mode and you prefer to use RighTel 3G/4G, first Disconnect the modem then select one of the following 3G (HSPA) or 4G (LTE) networks.
Tools –> Option –> Network –> Network Type

In addition, you will be able to change your operator manually via below path. This will be useful when the modem is logged in automatically to another operator’s network and it is not returned to RighTel operator.
Tools –> Option –> Network –> Registration Mode

Warranty

1. Warranty of mentioned devices is 18 months from purchase time.

Installation

First remove the SIM card compartment cover, and then insert the SIM card in the specified slot as shown below.

Close the SIM card compartment cover then connect the modem to the computer and wait until the green LED lights on the modem is on.

At this stage, the installation process will automatically begin.
If the installation does not automatically run, double click on the 3G modem icon on the Windows desktop.
Follow the installation process as shown below:

After the above steps, the program will automatically run.
If the program does not automatically run, you can use the software by double-clicking on the icon on the Windows desktop and run through the following path:
Start —> Programs —> D-Link Connection Manager

And finally click “Connect”.

You are connected to broadband Internet via the Rightel network.
You can access the guide through Help option.

The following passage can help you select the language to use of this software.

2- In this menu click on “profile management”.

3- Click on “import”.

4- In the opened window, choose Rightel then click “OK”.

5- Choose “set as default”.

At this stage you can connect to Rightel high speed internet via your dongle.

Rightel third generation modem will allow users to access high speed connectivity via Rightel SIM cards. Rightel third generation modem features are as follows:

• 3G Network frequency bands (HSDPA 900/2100)
• Support for Short Message Service (SMS)
• Electronic phone book
• Support Micro SD memory card up to 32GB
• Support USB 2.0
• Internal antenna
• No need to battery or charging

Minimum system requirements for installing and using third-generation modem E303 is as follows:

• INTEL / AMD Processor with a minimum speed of 500MHz
• Windows 10, / Vista / XP / 7/8
• Mac OS 10.4.0 to Mac OS 10.10.0
• At least 128MB of RAM
• At least 50MB Hard memory

نکته: جهت استفاده با سیستم عامل ویندوز نسخه 10 نیاز به بروزرسانی نرم افزار دانگل می باشد. جهت دریافت نرم افزار بروزرسانی مدل A6 به صفحه به‌روزرسانی نرم‌ افزار دانگل‌های نسل سوم DWM 156 مدل A6 و جهت دریافت نرم افزار بروزرسانی مدل A7 به صفحه به‌روزرسانی نرم‌ افزار دانگل‌های نسل سوم DWM 156 مدل A7 مراجعه نمایید.

• Windows OS 1/10, / Vista / XP / 7/8
• Mac OS 10.6.0 to Mac OS 10.11.0
• At least 256MB of RAM
• At least 90MB Hard memory

1. Click on “finish”.
   
2. A few second after installation, Rightel connection manger App pops-up. Close this App.
   
   • Then download update-firmware on to your PC and extract it.
     Update-Firmware
   • Then download update-firmware on to your PC and extract it.
   • Click on “start” in the opened window.
     
3. Click on “finish”.

Your dongle is updated now. Remove your dongle from PC, insert the SIM card in the dongle and use installation manual for E303 dongle to install your modem.

Minimum system requirements for installing and using third-generation modem DWM-156 is as follows:

• INTEL / AMD Processor with a minimum speed of 500MHz
• Windows 10, / Vista / XP / 7/8
• Mac OS 10.4.0 to Mac OS 10.10.0
• At least 128MB of RAM
• At least 50MB Hard memory

Installation

The recommended system requirements:

• Notebook or personal computer with an empty USB port
• Windows OS 10.6.0 / Vista / XP SP3 / 7
• Mac OS X10.5, 10.6 & 10.7

Rightel Modem usage manual (WU260)
Click Connect.

You are now connected to broadband Internet via the Rightel network.

The following passage can help you select the language to use of this software.
Settings / Language
If you select “Farsi” all of the menus are shown in Persian.
By clicking on this option, you can access to general settings “General”, and “PIN Management”, “Statistics”, Internet data traffic information “Traffic Warning”, related settings such as “Text Message Center” and “text message”, network-related settings “network”, network signal level “Diagnostics” and so on.
From “Pin Management” you can manage your modem security settings.

From the “Statistic” you can access statistical information such as downloaded volume, etc.

On “Traffic Warning” You can manage your internet usage.

In “text message” you can access SMS settings such as message center number, texting report, etc.

From “diagnostics” you can access Technical information of your modem.

In the following path you can see the network signal:
Diagnostics/Network Status/RSSI
From “Language Selection” you can change the language.

From “Help” you can access guide.

Click on this option to enter “Contact”.

Create new contact information
Edit contact information
Delete Contacts
Send SMS to contacts.
Search contact information.

Click here to enter SMS section.

Create new SMS
Delete SMS
Send the same SMS to the same number (sender)
Reply to SMS
Send an SMS to other numbers

Click here to enter USSD section.

Note: WU260 HSUPA 3G dongle cannot connect to internet in roaming mode.
